Farm tour took place this afternoon, the girls were very excited about meeting the new born lambs.

They then meet Ruby the pig.....

Now Ruby and Stella are leaving us today, and going to a farm in Shepton Mallet.

We could not catch Stella...

Even my daughter Izzy was called in..

After  5 hours, we final got them, and off they went... They have gone to lovely home, but I will miss them.

Finally the weather has cheered up and stopped raining for nearly 10days, so I was able to let the cows out into the field. They stampeded around the field, the calves going especially mad.. Lovely sight!

We can not believe there is hosepipe bans in England, it's done nothing but rain here since June last year. That's Wales for you!

12th March 2012

We had a short break, and disappeared to West Wales. The weather was lovely and the dogs got sploit with lots of walks.

This a photo from Pembrey park just outside LLanelli and in the back ground is the Gower Peninsula. A fantastic walk, the wind was blowing the sand down the beach. the poor dogs needed googles!  Its just over a hour away, and has dry ski slope cafe and toboggan.

14th March 2012

We had the lovely Fischer family from Hamburg, who had come over to see their niece who is a student in Cardiff University.  The kids had a great time in the mud, collecting the eggs. Unfortunately, the kids got stuck, the chickens knocked over the egg baskets. Their dad had to come to the rescue!

their wellies did not quite fit!

Their got close up to the pigs , the cows and the cute lambs....

11th march 2012

What a corker of a weekend. The sun came out for the Wales v Italy match, and stayed out for the rest of the weekend. I was up early, wanting to  get started. We have had a few Italians staying with us at Sutton Mawr, they loved the stadium, but not the result. They have decided to going walking down the Gower, so that should cheer them up.

The first job was to ring the lambs tails, we have had 7 lambs so far. There are all doing ready well..

Dennis the ram is always keeping guard against foxes. He is a lovely ram, he come up to me first thing in the morning and last  thing at night, for head rub!

The chickens are on top form they went wandering everywhere today. They even followed me to the bottom of the field.

The mud is slowly drying up in the pig paddocks. These three porkers were very friendly today when I went to feed them. They then spent most of the day sun bathing!

Vicci and myself then spent the rest of the day weeding and tidying up the courtyard and herb garden. Suddenly, there is going to be a lot plant growth, going on in the garden . We are currently well behind. So this week its gardening week!
